MONDAY BLUES . jus had my dinner .. today so suai .. first day of posting to IMH(institue of mental health) today, got swollen eyes. know why? cuz last night i kept rubbing my eyes to sleep. so uncomfortable for the whole day.
Fortuately everything goes on fine.. (for today,at least). Upon reaching for the first day today, we waited at the foyer for instructions to be given. After that, we proceed to the auditorium for some briefing.. SO COLD inside. siao. rainy day still lower the temperature to the extreme. Next, went for teabreak 30mins. After that, being intro to the wards. First time in my life enter IMH and see so many unsound patients.. feel kinda afraid initially.. Hope as days goes by, i can adapt to the new environment for at least 2 weeks of my posting.
I am being assigned to the acute general psychiatric ward. These are patients suffering from schizophrenia, delusions, depression, bipolar disorders etc..
Other departments include child and adolescent unit, psychiatric rehab wards, community psychiatric, community addiction management, alcohol rehab, geriatric, forensic etc ..Since today is only the very first day, me and my peers are being orientated, brought around by the lecturers to see the other vicinities like the RENCI hospital too. Quite small and crampy than what i have expected.
Glad that time passes by quite fast today cuz first day mah.. briefing n orientation etc. Tomorrow and the rest of the week will be more busy i think. Still need to do case study individually and organise structured activities for the patients. haiz..
k i shall stop here.. going to watch TOP FUN later.. got fann wong .. haha.. and have a good sleep. (swollen eyes)
Tomorrow my shift would then be 1300-2100. shit. so late.
